Life in Victoria!

Not that anyone reads this blog anymore, but just in case, I figured I should mention that Kayden moved with us down to Victoria in June. Those who know the story know that moving here was a roller-coaster of stress (new jobs, unexpected expenses, now NO job for me)... but we're still loving the city and hope that a new job won't tear us from it so soon. We miss our friends up north, though, and hope we can stay close. Kayden has lived up to his name these many stressful months by being a perfect "companion" during my long days of job-searching. He loves his big backyard, and the new sounds and smells. This apartment has a long, single-story layout (basement suite), and he loves zipping through it from one end to another. His favourite game lately is "stock the human". He's still a biter (when playing), but there's not much we can do about that now. He had a vet appointment down here in August, and the doctor says he's in perfect health (but perhaps a bit on the chubby side). He's a solid 11 pounds. He goes crazy for a piece of cooked shrimp a couple times a week (which might be the culprit). He's the perfect kid. :)
