Wheeeeeeere's The Kitty???

He's such a sneaky little critter. And WOW is he a good hunter! This week he has started chirping and chattering when we dangle a toy in the air. He did the same thing when he saw a bird outside the window one day. According to my internet research, this is what cats typically do when they are on the move, preparing to pounce on something they potentially consider to be food. He loves the chase. Sometimes when we're playing, after he successfully captures the toy and chews on it for a minute (or takes it to a dark corner to hide it), he comes back wanting you to dangle it for him again. He actually brought it back to me once or twice! He races around in circles, and all over the room, never taking his eye off his the toy. And now I'm not even "letting him get it" as I did when he was younger. Now he's able to capture it by his own efforts! He can jump at least three and a half feet already!

This is a typical picture. Sig and Kayden have a bit of "bonding time" every day after he gets back from work. Kayden really loves him, and races downstairs to greet him. Sometimes he even goes down to sit in the front windowsill to watch for him.

We can't believe how Kayden has grown! When we took him in for his second set of kitten vaccinations on Sep. 11th, the doctor weighed him in at 5 pounds! Now I wouldn't be surprised if he's already close to 6! I imagine he will reach 12 someday, maybe by his eighth month.
